SDSU Noyce Scholarship Program for Prospective Math Teachers
We offer scholarships and community for students majoring — or intending to major –in mathematics who are considering becoming a teacher in a high-needs district in San Diego county.
Scholarships
For ITEP seniors or SDSU credential students: Receive $12,500 to cover tuition and fees!
Internships
Work as a tutor in a local public middle or high school or at the Math Learning Center @ SDSU or the Math Center at Grossmont College (all positions pay $13/hr)
Ambassadorships
Visit math classes at SDSU and Grossmont to spread ideas about how mathematics can be used to help the world.

Receive $12,500 to cover tuition and fees!
Students in their senior year of the SDSU ITEP -MATH program or who have been accepted to the SDSU Credential program for mathematics teaching are eligible to apply for a scholarship if you meet these criteria:
- Must have a STEM major
- Must agree to teach in a high-needs district in San Diego for two years upon graduation (you have up to 8 years to meet this requirement or the scholarship will turn into a loan)
- You must be a US citizen, national, or permanent resident alien.

We offer tutoring experiences at all levels and at different locations including:
- The Math Learning Center @ SDSU
- The Math Center at Grossmont CC
- Hoover High School
- Middle Schools

Share your enthusiam for math!
If you are enthusiastic about math, then share your ideas with students in local high schools and at SDSU. We need ambassadors to talk with students to encourage their interest in STEM careers.
